Just as the “war on drugs” criminalized and destroyed large swaths of African-American and Latino communities, the “war on cash” will further criminalize the few remaining avenues to financial independence and freedom. The introduction of “entitlement” welfare in the 1960s generated a toxic dependency on the state that institutionalized worklessness, a one-two punch that undermined marriage and family in America’s working class of all ethnicities.
Just a few hours after Trump warned during his CPAC speech that "we're gonna do something about the media", he did just that after the White House barred a number of news outlets from covering Sean Spicer’s Q&A session on Friday afternoon. We now expect most if not all of the presidential press corps to boycott all future White House media events, as the war between Trump and the media goes nuclear.
Over the last three years, pharmaceutical companies have mounted a public relations blitz to tout new cures for the hepatitis C virus and persuade insurers, including government programs such as Medicare and Medicaid, to cover the costs. That isn’t an easy sell, because the price of the treatments ranges from $40,000 to $94,000 — or, because the treatments take three months, as much as $1,000 per day.
While many American children are interested in Pokemon and Minecraft, at least one kid in New Jersey is demanding to know what his congressman is going to do about Russian “hacking”. -- In what some consider to be a planted question, a child asked Congressman Leonard Lance “will you hold Russia accountable for hacking and how?”
In an effort to make websites more “advertiser friendly” some media outlets have taken to eliminating comment sections where, without considerable effort from moderators, they are unable to control the direction of reader conversations. But a Google-funded algorithm could change that via censorship.
A student activist group at the University of Michigan is demanding campus officials provide them with “a permanent designated space on central campus for Black students and students of color to organize and do social justice work.”
2016 was a brutal year for the Democrat Party. Forced to drag the bloated carcass of the Hillary Clinton campaign across a field strewn with the landmines planted by the Obama administration’s unprecedented corruption, they ended up on the business end of not only a presidential defeat for the ages, but a top-to-bottom beat down which left them barely clinging to relevancy at any level of government outside lost-cause hellholes like Detroit, Chicago and most of Californistan.
News that Google has developed a new AI system that “identifies abusive comments” to clamp down on “hate speech” reminds us why mainstream media websites are censoring and removing comment sections altogether – because studies show they have more influence over the opinion of the reader than the article itself.
This is a perilous state of affairs, brought about by the maniacal passion for surveillance spawned under George W. Bush and perfected under Barack Obama — all with utter indifference to the widespread constitutional violations and permanent destruction of personal liberties. This is not the government the Framers gave us. But it is one far more dangerous to human freedom than the one from which they seceded in 1776.
An average of 400 “criminal illegal immigrants” are being released every 10 days by the newly elected sheriff in Arizona’s most populous county, federal law enforcement sources tell Judicial Watch, many of them violent offenders. It’s part of Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone’s new policy to protect illegal aliens, even those who have committed serious state crimes, from deportation.
The general idea seems to be based on the foundation of politically correct culture: that no person should ever need to feel uncomfortable or be forced to justify their positions or lifestyle... And as the coddled students make their way into adulthood, society will pay.
During a lively discussion centered on fears that President Trump is "trying to undermine the media,"MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski let slip the awesome unspoken truth that the media's "job" is to "actually control exactly what people think."
“How is this a victory when every dorm resident will be punished because of one racist idiot? What does this accomplish exactly? It seems to me you’re giving more power to the racist. Should we have limited skyscrapers to only 10 stories after 9/11 in an effort to end terrorism? Help me to understand the reasoning and logic,” one commenter posted.
President Donald Trump has promised the most comprehensive overhaul of the tax system since 1986. That was when a Republican president joined forces with a Democratic House of Representatives and a Republican Senate to lower personal income-tax rates and simplify a messy and outdated tax system.
There are countless reasons why one may decide to train in martial arts. That said, one of the top and most common reasons is so that they can learn moves that can protect them from harm – or even potentially save their life one day.
Many seniors say their fear of becoming crime victims makes them feel both lonely and isolated from the outside world. The only way to eliminate fear is through action. A good place to start is with the steps outlined here, using a combination of common sense and proven physical protection methods.
You must own a gun — and probably more than one — for the type of emergency that it is probably coming around the bend. In fact, you should have at least two guns for everyone in your household old enough and trained enough to use them.
Security lighting is the best preventative measure that you can take for home security. This may include outdoor motion lights or other such lighting for burglary deterrence and nighttime security purposes.
Do you ever wake up in the morning lacking inspiration for breakfast? I know that I do! Then occasionally I will have breakfast ready for my boys when they wake up in the morning but when they come downstairs they might ask for something completely different. And who can resist such a cute little face?
Once I started harvesting them, I learned quickly that fresh radishes are bad about getting really rubbery if you leave them out at room temperature for more than a day. After a little experimentation, I learned a couple of ways to store fresh radishes to keep them crisp until you’re ready to use them.
One of the most important considerations for indoor gardening is light. While some vegetables will chug along with a bare minimum of six hours of light daily, they will flourish with 12-16 hours daily. Clearly, grow lights are a must, especially during winter. However, one of the most common mistakes among indoors gardeners is using the wrong type of light.
Disclaimer: I am going to be somewhat verbose and poetic when setting the stage for this article, but I promise to be as concise and matter of fact as I am capable of with the bulk of it. Please indulge me in this, as I not only want to share the knowledge I have gleaned about this topic, but also a little bit of the passion I have learned for it that motivates this article in the first place. Thank you in advance for your patience!
In general, ducks are less destructive and lay better in the winter. But, they are far messier and noiser than chickens. Having both is awesome, though and I seem to get the best of both worlds. Perhaps try them both for yourself and see which you like best. Or maybe you’ll be like me and just love them both!
A root cellar is a great option to include in your food storage plan, since they require no energy to use and require very little maintenance. It’s great if you can build in a root cellar when your home is under construction, but it’s also possible to add a root cellar to your basement, or build one outside your home. Root cellars are a great low-cost, no-energy way to store food and extend the shelf life of fresh produce.
Growing your own vegetables is the best idea if you want to have fresh food all year long and make sure that what you eat is organic. Did you know that you can grow fruits and vegetables in containers? This is a great solution for those who live in an apartment but still wish to have their own small garden at home. One of the vegetables that can be grown like this are bell peppers which need warm soil in order to grow healthy. The first step of growing bell peppers is to buy the plant from a nursery and choose the right sized pot for it.

Have you ever bought something that came in one of those plastic mesh bags? Of course you have — produce… toys… I’ve even seen socks packaged in them. Typically, you rip into the bag from any old angle, dump the contents, and toss the bag in the garbage. I used to do that, too, until I became enlightened by the homesteader’s spirit.
Last September we confirmed that spontaneous pocket explosions were not a desirable feature for smartphones...well, at least not in the opinion of Samsung shareholders who lost nearly $20 billion in market value over just two days after reports first surfaced of the company's new Galaxy Note7 randomly bursting into flames.
Last year the flu season was predicted to peak in February. However, this year the news media, on cue from the Centers for Disease Control, is starting their vaccination campaign early by planting the idea of vaccination in the minds of senior Americans who are most at risk for the flu and suggesting in doubletalk that seniors wait and get their vaccine later rather than sooner (??).
Just what is it that qualifies one to be a soldier? What qualities make one a “qualified soldier”? I can think of ten things, and they have nothing to do with bravery, duty, honor, country, valor, courage, patriotism, nationalism, pride, or heroism.
The Governor of NH signed his first bill Wednesday, and it’s nothing other than Constitutional Carry for his state. The previous Governor would veto the bill every time it landed on her desk. This brings the total to 13 states that have some form of permitless carry. Other states are discussing the passage of similar legislation and with Republican control now in many states, we anticipate this becoming a reality in a few more.
Virginia has quite a few large active duty military bases — including Marine Corps Base Quantico, NMITC Dam Neck, and Naval Station Norfolk amongst others. These are locations where men and women come from across our country to begin their careers in the military. It would have been nice to let them know that the country they defend respects their rights to defend their lives off base.
A right that is subject to government-imposed limitations is not a right in any sense. The innate right of armed self-defense exists whether any government chooses to recognize it. What made the Second Amendment unique was its recognition of the fact that in the constitutional scheme, the government does not have a monopoly on the legitimate use of force. Scalia, like many statist jurists before him, insisted that the permissible civilian uses of firearms are all defined within that government-exercised monopoly on force; they are thus temporary concessions that can be redefined by our rulers at whim. The Fourth Circuit’s ruling thus offered no surprises to anyone who had understood the clear implications of Scalia’s ruling.
An armed robber was found a few blocks away from a Dairy Queen after getting shot by one of its employees. Police say that the robber pointed a gun at employees around 10:20 p.m. One of the employees was a concealed carrier.
For some reason, the armed robber thought that because the place was called ‘Happy’s’, everyone would be too overcome with joy to notice a man waving a gun around. Based upon the level of his performance, I’d say the clientele and the management likely did not meet his expectations.
In a stunning victory for the pro-gun community, the first bill to repeal an Obama anti-gun measure is now headed to President Trump’s desk. Earlier today, the Senate voted to overturn Barack Obama’s Social Security Gun Ban. [The vote in the Senate was 57-43, with all Republicans voting for the repeal. They were joined by only four Democrats and one Independent. The earlier House vote was 235-180.]
Readiness and preparation are keys to success for everyday concealed carry. The gun, by itself, is just one tool in your arsenal in solving problems great and small. The real determination of success will come from what tools you have available and how you are able to adapt and overcome.
In an attempt to address the ongoing budget problem in Illinois, Sen. Hutchinson decided to tax Illinois residents’ Second Amendment rights, and by extension, their right to safety. Under SA 2, a 5% tax would be imposed on any membership or access fee for gun clubs, shooting ranges, hunt clubs, training classes and match fees. Not only is this an abhorrent tax on your Second Amendment rights, it also requires that any of those places/people to register with the state and pay an annual fee of $75 just so that they can offer their service or membership with the 5% tax added.
The great outdoors is in fact great. It provides food, fresh air and a chance to unplug from technology and reconnect with nature. Sometimes, though, the great outdoors isn’t so great, turning your fun overnight hiking trip or weekend camping trip into a rough, wet, tiring experience. Here are 8 camping survival tips and tricks to make your experience a little more manageable and enjoyable.
There seems to be almost endless websites, books, lists, forums, etc. that focus on emergency preparedness and all of the areas that one should master to become “completely” prepared for disaster. When preparing to survive the end of the human race, there are some inherent problems with these resources; the first problem is that having a list won’t actually accomplish anything (action is required) and the second issue being that it is hard to master these areas, let alone gain familiarity and experience with all of them.
A document distributed by the FBI to help agents gauge the likelihood that an individual will carry out a violent attack suggests that a desire to avoid government snooping, enjoying outdoor activities and simply having access to weapons are all possible indicators of extremism.
This list just barely scratches the surface of the terminology and language you might encounter when talking with a prepper or reading about the prepping lifestyle. Hopefully knowing some of these acronyms and phrases will help you to understand a little bit more of what’s going through the mind of a prepper.
In a normal survival situation, fire is something you need for things like light, heat, protection, and the ability to cook food. But in the event of a house fire, it can become your biggest enemy and something you need to escape from immediately.
I don’t care how good of a driver you are — there are situations where you can’t keep on trucking. I remember an icy parking lot that put me in a snow bank, simply because I couldn’t get enough traction to overcome gravity (the parking lot was sloped, and the exit was uphill). I’ve seen the same happen to truckers, who literally had to bail out of their rigs when gravity overcame friction and their trucks started sliding backwards, down the mountain. Then there were the times when blizzards cut visibility to the point where I or someone else drove off the road, thinking we were driving on it.
A home solar energy system is one of the best ways to reduce your carbon footprint, increase your home value, and lower your electricity costs for decades to come. In recognition of the many benefits that solar offers for homeowners and the environment, many organizations – including the federal government, states and towns, and electric utilities – have established incentive and rebate programs to lower the cost of solar. Income tax credits, rebates, and tax exemptions are just a few of the incentives that could be available where you live.
If you’re looking to save money on water for your household, consider collecting rainwater. Using rainwater has a lot of benefits, and rainwater collection systems are fairly simple to put together. Collecting rainwater also means that you are practicing more sustainable living.
No, this isn’t satire. People are actually trying to blame the fact that Middle America elected Trump as the next president of the United States for their poor eating and exercising habits. While it is hilarious that anyone is silly enough to think that they are fat because a certain politician was elected, it’s also extremely frustrating that liberals once again are refusing to take responsibility for their actions.
Allan Jones, CEO of Tennessee-based Jones Airways, is offering free one-way flights to Canada for Hollywood celebrities who promised to leave the country if Donald Trump won the presidency.. In a video posted to Facebook, which has received more than 600,000 views thus far, multiple celebrities including Miley Cyrus and Alec Baldwin are offered a complimentary flight across the northern border on a Falcon 900 jet.
“Crooked Hillary is a lot like Ms. Pac-Man—she’ll keep going and going and going until she’s cornered and caught! #MakeAmericaGreatAgain,” Trump’s Facebook page wrote. -- The video shows Clinton devouring emails while evading FBI agents before finally being caught. Before being apprehended, Clinton is able to successfully destroy 30,000 emails – an obvious jab at the 30,000 deleted by the former secretary of state.
DNC’s Stinky Strategy : With all of Hillary’s non-accomplishments, lies, corruption, and the recent email scandal within the DNC Convention, how will they ever gain Americas trust especially with Bernie Sanders voters.
