In Indiana and more than a dozen other states, lawmakers have pushed legislation targeting immigrants in the country without legal authorization in a year when Trump’s campaign has thrust the issue into the spotlight.
You have to love it when one of Donald Trump’s wild pitches sends the beltway hypocrites into high dudgeon. But his rumination about negotiating a discount on the Federal debt was priceless. No sooner did the 'unschooled' Trump mention out loud what is already the official policy of the US government than a beltway chorus of fiscal house wreckers commenced screaming like banshees about the sanctity of Uncle Sam’s credit promises.
Even more concerning than what the Obama administration may do in the coming months, Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton has repeatedly discussed the need for anti-firearm activists to attack gun businesses rather than the 2nd Amendment. She even talks about 2nd Amendment supporters as though they’re criminals.
So far this year, the global bank debt dump has reached $123 billion. It's the fastest pace for a U.S. debt selloff by global central banks since at least 1978, according to Treasury Department data published Monday afternoon.
The story was reported in the media, as one would expect, but one thing is missing: No praise for the heroic officer, nor thanks that he had been armed off duty, which he should have been, nor acknowledgment that good people with guns are the only effective deterrent to such lethal outbursts. The leftist media has a rule that guns are never to be portrayed in a positive manner, so heroes like this officer are not honored for taking decisive action when it needed to be.
In an effort to ensure that Congress and the next president are powerless to reverse as many of his economy killing regulations as possible, President Barack Obama has rushed through $85 billion in new regulations since the beginning of the year. The 44 new economically significant regulations were shoved through ahead of a May 23 deadline dubbed “Regulation Day” that officially marks Obama’s status as a lame duck.
Sometimes a cautionary tale is more motivating than any amount of positive reinforcement every could be, and the horrifying reports from Venezuela are a perfect example. If you’re paying attention to the things they’ve run out of, you can put together a collapse supply list to see you through the crisis in the event of a breakdown in our own country. The time to prepare is now, well before the situation devolves to one that is similar.
The United Nations Security Council wants a global “framework” for censoring the Internet, as well as for using government propaganda to “counter” what its apparatchiks call “online propaganda,” “hateful ideologies,” and “digital terrorism.” To that end, the UN Security Council this week ordered the UN “Counter-Terrorism Committee” — yes, that is a real bureaucracy — to draw up a plan by next year. From the Obama administration to the brutal Communist Chinese regime, everybody agreed that it was time for a UN-led crackdown on freedom of speech and thought online — all under the guise of fighting the transparently bogus terror war.
Hillary engaged in on-going intimidation and smear campaigns against any “bimbo eruptions” that might pop up. Her tactics included slander by her and her surrogates, and having henchmen murder pets, slash tires, burgle their homes and leave threatening messages in order to keep the women silent. That apparently doesn’t apply to any women Bill assaulted. But where’s the Times’ Sunday page 1 exposé on that?
It's not a conspiracy, as some angry Sanders backers suggest, a result of dark magic or a wrinkle in the time-space continuum. Rather, it's the "rules" that Democrats play by -- rules that now work to Clinton's advantage, even as they thwarted her candidacy eight years ago, when she lost a nominating fight to then-Sen. Barack Obama.
