BILL STANDS IN? Bubba To The Rescue As Bill Clinton To Stand In For Sick Hillary At L.A. Fundraisers

Bill Clinton will be stepping in tomorrow for his pneumonia plagued wife at the pricey fundraisers set for Seth MacFarlane and Barry Diller’s homes, campaign sources confirm to Deadline.

Hollywood’s O.G. favorite Democrat, the 43rd President of the United States will now headline the lunch at the Family Guys’ pad and the “Conversation and Dinner With Hillary Clinton” at the IAC Chairman and Diane von Furstenberg’s home on Tuesday.

This substitution at the deep pocket events shows not only how the Clinton campaign plans on keep going while the candidates takes a few days off as her doctor advices but also how much Hollywood support and dollars mean to them. While sympathetic to the sick former Secretary of State, guests at the $50,000 max a ticket MacFarlane fundraiser and the $100,000-a-couple dinner were starting to grumble about the campaign’s last minute decision to reveal the true state of her health and the cancellation on September 11.

After being captured on video stumbling while leaving the NYC 9/11 anniversary memorial yesterday, Clinton first insisted she was “feeling great” as she late left daughter Chelsea’s apartment. That story changed within hours as Clinton’s personal physician Dr. Lisa Bardack announced that the ex-First Lady had actually been diagnosed with pneumonia on September 9, a day full of events and a Barbra Streisand singing fundraiser for the candidate. Not long after that, it was made official that Clinton would not be flying out to California for a fundraiser in the Bay Area tonight and the dual events on September 13.

Clinton will now be phoning into the Bay Area event and, having mainly handled more low key or low profile events this year, the consummate flesh presser will take center stage in Tinseltown.

Seems like 1996 not 2016 now, doesn’t it?
