Concealed Carrier Stops Stabbing In The Street: A Perfect Example Of Responsible Concealed Carry
A passerby noticed a fight while heading home from work, and understanding the severity of what was happening, decided to intervene with his firearm. That move likely saved a life.
Two brothers were fighting, but it was much more than a fist fight. One of the brothers, Chris Terry, began to stab the other, identified as Darren Terry. He suffered three stab wounds, and would probably not be alive if a stranger hadn’t come to help.
That stranger, U.S. Air Force Lt. Brandon Teel, drew his firearm and held it on Chris Terry until police arrived, effectively stopping the potentially deadly assault.
As a trained member of the US Military and a concealed carry permit holder, Teel knew exactly the right thing to do.
This is what a responsible concealed carrier looks like, and Teel, whether he believes so or not, is the definition of a hero.
“Lt. Teel’s actions on April 3rd most definitely saved a life. Lt. Teel is a perfect example of a responsible concealed carry permit holder. He acted heroically in the face of extreme danger and avoided a tragedy,” Austin Police Chief Bill Duerson said.
