MORE GLOBAL WARMING! Snow, Wintry Mix to Precede Freeze-Up for Nearly 100 Million
A storm set to bring travel problems along a 1,500-mile stretch from the Central states into the Northeast will continue to bring an onslaught of snow, sleet and rain throughout Wednesday.
“An area of sleet is expanding over northern Oklahoma to southern Missouri with a swath of snow farther north in eastern Kansas and central Missouri,” AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Alex Sosnowski said.
Widespread flooding problems have been reported with some requiring evacuations of homes.
“Ahead of the snow and ice, runoff from heavy rain and melting snow is leading to flooding problems from southwestern Pennsylvania to West Virginia and Kentucky,” Sosnowski said.
